"The view here is amazing and somehow the food is even better. I highly recommend getting a reservation and enjoying their hospitality."
"Dawros bay House is Irish character and charm in a box. Whilst it may look like just somebody's house from the inside, the inside is warm and welcoming. An obligatory bar stocked with the basics, sofas and chairs, a cosy fireplace and an extension eating maybe 10 people. The food was delicious and clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. The owners are friendly and inviting and the the guest we met there are even friendlier. It's a must must visit if you're.in the Portnoo area and are looking for something different."
"Lovely food in unique setting. Rustic bar with great views and very welcoming staff. Recommend you ring in advance to make sure it’s open as times can vary throughout the summer. Also bring cash as card machine broken!!"
"Genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The location is stunning and the food is incredible. Everything you eat is completely fresh and sourced right down the road. I got the seafood platter which had oysters, prawns, crab meat, crab claws, Mackrell, and battered fish. It is impossible to say what was the best part of the dish. It was incomparable to anything I have had before. My girlfriend had the lobster and agrees that it was by far the best seafood she has ever had in her life. If anyone is looking for a hidden gem that gives you a world class experience I recommend this place. I cannot believe it is not talked about more. Can't wait to come back."
"Stayed for a magical night in this house with Joe and Maria and ate an exquisite seafood dinner ! Can't explain how atmospheric and unique this house/pub/restaurant is. Wonderful spectacular views, generous friendly hosts, quirky funky decor with antique charm, delicious local food. An artists paradise. A gem of a place that people want to keep a secret - it should be preserved and supported and really is a charming and incredibly wild spot ! We are definitely returning for a longer stay."
"I had one of the best experiences of my life here. My friend and I were out for a long day driving along the Atlantic Way and found this spot on Google maps. On Google it said it was open so we drove an hour to eat here, but apparently they actually were closed. Pam and Maria were kind enough to serve us anyway. We had the most delicious and FRESH lobster and crab. They told us we couldn't have chips because the fryer was off, but their brother (sorry I didn't catch your name!) brought us chips anyway, which was so sweet. This is a family business and has been for decades and this fact is so apparent in the quality of food and friendliness of service. I hope to return here every time I'm back in Ireland. Loved chatting. Just call ahead to ensure they're open"
"I don't understand how this isn't rated 5 stars. Everything about our experience was just absolutely wonderful and honestly one of the best experiences I have had at a resteraunt. The service was so warm and friendly, sincere and kind. The location is just breathtaking, and we felt so relaxed and at ease inside. and the food was just fantastic. Can't recommend enough."
